How do I register?

Am I able to receive a basket?

Only residents of Dekalb (Decatur), Georgia are eligible to receive baskets.

How do I get my basket?

After you register, you will receive an approval email. You will receive the email/or phone call within 3 days prior to pickup.  You must bring the approval email with you and a photo I.D. to pick up your basket. If you do not have access to email please let us know and we will make alternate arrangements for you to be approved. Thanksgiving baskets are located at 1522 Thomas Rd. Decatur, Ga. 30032 (Parking lot near Fellowship Hall). Marta bus line close to Thomas Rd. and Memorial Dr. is the  21 Memorial Dr/Belvedere.

Expect to wait about 20-25 minutes to receive your basket.  Basket pickup in a drive-thru system.  The basket will be loaded into your vehicle.  If arriving on foot, please go to the check-in station to receive your basket.

What is included in a Thanksgiving Basket?

Items include: frozen turkey and/or ham, turkey gravy, stuffing mix, mashed potato mix, canned yams, canned vegetables (corn, mixed vegetables, carrots, etc. root vegetables, onions, potatoes, carrots), cranberry sauce, biscuit/corn muffin mix, rice, macaroni and cheese, green beans or dried beans, canned fruit (peaches, pears), apple sauce, brownie/cake mix, icing, pie crust, evaporated milk, parmalta milk 2%, sugar, flour, coffee/tea/drink, celery, bell pepper, collard greens. 

Do you have vegetarian or vegan options?

We do not have specific dietary baskets, however, our baskets will contain some food items that are suitable for vegetarians and/or vegans.

What do I do if I don't have my approval email?

Please note that we are only giving out 20 baskets on a first come first serve basis, and while we will do our best to try to accommodate everyone who registers, we cannot guarantee that everyone will receive a basket that registers. If you signed up during the registration period and did not receive an approval email, this means that there were no available baskets remaining at the time of your registration.

Can I get my basket delivered?

Unfortunately, we cannot deliver baskets, however anyone with your approval email and a photo I.D. can pick up your basket.

What if I cannot pick-up my basket during the time listed on my approval email?

It is very important that you come during the designated pick-up time.  Anyone with your approval email and photo I.D. can pick-up your basket.  If it is impossible for you to pick-up your basket during the listed time, you can call the number on your approval email for further directions.  Baskets are only given out during distribution times.

I no longer need a basket and I've already signed up

We understand that plans change.  Any extra food will be donated to another family or person in need.  Please let us know as soon as you realize that you no longer need a food basket.

What items are needed for donation?

We are only taking monetary donations in lieu of non-perishable food items. See below for ways you can donate towards our Thanksgiving Missions:
